Selena Gomez is clearly enjoying Instagram's new feature which allows users to post longer videos and she used that to her advantage. It’s barely been six months since she dropped her album, Revival, and the "Same Old Love" singer recently shared a behind-the-scene video of her in the recording studio again.
Lately, the biggest obsession has been Boomerang, which creates GIF-like moments for your Instagram page. But now Instagram is making things even longer.
The 23-year-old newly crowned queen of Instagram used the new video option to tease some new music to her millions of followers. Gomez even provided a sneak peek at some never-before-heard tunes.
“So insta has 60 sec vids now... also new stuff,” the singer wrote on March 29.
Gomez wasn’t lying when she told reporters she was moving ahead with yet another new album, “I’ve been in the studio at the moment already working on new stuff,” she revealed during an interview with 97.5 NOW FM on March 28. “I can’t wait to celebrate Revival but it’s been fun to feel like I’m already moving towards other things.”
She seemed to be just one of the few people who are thrilled at the changes Instagram rolled out. Another social media queen, Kylie Jenner, shared her dismay of the algorithm changes to the feed. “Ugh Instagram if it’s not broke don’t fix it!" Jenner ranted. "Instagram is changing out of chronological order so let’s say you love someone’s photos but don’t physically ‘like’ their pics they will bump them to the bottom. It’s called INSTAgram for a reason. I don’t really understand it and there has to be another motive because you follow people for a reason..”
