Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa recently made headlines for admitting that she was addicted to laxatives. Not only did she generate buzz by revealing a past eating disorder, but she also continued her feud with Brandi Glanville. The younger socialite apparently wore a t-shirt in support of LeAnn Rimes, who stole Glanville’s husband.
Joanna Krupa is an open book. The 34-year-old socialite recently sat down with Star, where she spoke about the origins of her eating disorder:
“When I came to Los Angeles in 1999, my dream was to be a model, but I couldn’t get work. I got really depressed, and all I did was eat. Within a year, I gained over 20 lbs. and my self esteem was shot, plus my credit card was maxed out. I cried every day.”
Instead of going to the gym and working out, Joanna searched out a quick fix. That’s when she fell in love with laxatives:
“I had never worked out or dieted, and I didn’t want to start! I wanted the easy way out, so I bought laxatives. Then I started starving myself all day, then binging at night because I was so hungry.”
Like with any addiction, she soon had to take much more laxatives. According to Joanna, she became terrified of having an accident:
“Every day--I was an addict. I remember being in the ocean on a bikini shoot and had cramps so bad that I was afraid I wouldn’t make it to the bathroom! I knew something wasn’t right. I always worried about having an accident.”
Luckily, Krupa gave up the nasty habit. Of course, she hasn’t given up all of her negative behaviour.
Each week, she seems to be in a new feud with fellow castmate, Brandi Glanville. And when Glanville’s not busy getting so drunk she can’t walk, she finds time to say terrible things about Joanna.
Her most recent comments are so vile, we can’t even reprint them here. Let’s just say that she referenced an alleged feminine odor.
