Princess Kate Middleton took time out of her day to help yet another charity. Since her baby, Prince George Alexander Louis,’ recent christening, Kate has really dived into helping those less fortunate. The duchess looked as stylish as always, despite rumors that she would be undergoing a royal fashion makeover.
Kate looked as magnificent as ever on Tuesday, when the duchess visited the offices of Only Connect. The charity focuses on helping ex-prisoners who have turned their life around. A description of their outreach is found on their official site:
“Only Connect is a positive community. We provide training, support and creative opportunities to help prisoners, ex-offenders and at-risk young people realise their own value. We see the people we work with as assets for London, with a contribution to make to the wellbeing of everyone in our city.”
Kate and Prince William visited the offices in order to learn more about the programs they offer, as well as bring publicity to the charity. And that’s not the only charitable organization Kate is lending her fame and power to.
Kate also supports the Scouts. Her work with the organization, has landed her big praise from one notable member of the royal family--Prince Charles. The future king expressed his sentiments in a written statement, telling readers:
“I need hardly say that I am particularly delighted that my daughter-in-law has helped to swell the ranks of much-needed Scout volunteers, since enrolling many more adults as leaders is the greatest need for so many of our youth organisations.”
According to the Scouts, that praise is well-founded. After Kate became involved with the program, nearly 3000 new volunteers stepped up to help the charity. The increase in volunteers, according to the Scouts, is directly linked to the duchess.
