There has been another major elimination in the cast of Bigg Boss 7. Pratyusha Banerjee, who became famous for her role on Balika Vadhu was forced to leave both the house and her friend, Kamya Punjabi. Her exit came after the actress ignored the advice of Salman Khan.
Of all the cast, Pratyusha was the most nominated for eviction. And it took six nominations before the starlet was sent packing. Despite the frequent calls for her departure, her exit caught many by surprise.
After all, she did bring a good bit of controversy to the set, at least by Bollywood standards. She’s no Miley Cyrus though, as Bollywood Life explains:
“Before entering the glass walled house, Pratyusha’s bikini pictures with her friend and TV actor Sara Khan raised many eyebrows. That’s not all. She also grabbed the headlines because of her breakup with boyfriend Makrand Malhotra. She was in a relationship with the businessman from the past two years and later filed a complaint in the police accusing Makrand of abusive behavior. All that apart, she didn’t had a single project in her hand after she quit Balika Vadhu. We had heard that Pratyusha was looking out for Bollywood film offers, but had no luck. So Bigg Boss 7 was her only hope or rather her only ticket to Bollywood.”
Now that Banerjee has been sent home, many are wondering if Punjabi will be next. If she is eliminated, it would certainly make sense. With one of her chief allies out of the mix, it may be difficult for Kamya to more forward.
