‘Almost is Never Enough:' Ariana Grande’s New Single ‘Last Christmas’ Release Date Tonight, After Justin and Miley Defense

Sam and Cat star Ariana Grande’s new single, “Last Christmas,” comes out tonight. The ”Almost is Never Enough” songstress is kicking off her holiday EP with a cover of the classic Wham song. Keeping with the holiday spirit, Grande is offering up tidings of joy for both Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. The seemingly squeaky clean pop star recently defended her less-than-reputable friends.

Ariana Grande has been compared to Mariah Carey a time or two. Grande recently revealed to Rolling Stone that she considers the comparisons to be "a blessing." Now Grande has one more reason to be blessed. The actress/singer is releasing a new Christmas EP and, like Carey’s classic “All I Want For Christmas,” Grande’s new record is sure to delight millions this Holiday season.

The first single of the new EP, a cover of the Wham classic “Last Christmas,” comes out tonight. Grande recently released a Vine parodying the song’s lyrics. In the short clip, Grande finishes the song's line, “Last Christmas I gave you my heart,” with the altered line ”But the very next day, you said you were gay.”

Grande has also recently defended her controversial friends, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. She recently spoke with Reuters about Cyrus:

"She's an adult she can do whatever the hell she wants, honestly. She looks amazing, she looks gorgeous. She looks stunning and she's having so much fun. If her choices aren't for you, don't look at it, move on, talk about something else, worry about bettering your life, not hers--she's fine. Her life is the best it could be right now, you know? That's what bothers me about people and about society. It's like, 'shut up.'"

She also told the publication about her good friend Justin Bieber:

"He's doing the same thing as every other boy in the world right now. He's just under a microscope and he's being scrutinized by people that don't know him. I know him, and he's a good person--he really is, he's a nice person...he's a good guy and he doesn't deserve what he's going through."
