‘Batman Vs Superman:’ Ben Affleck Batsuit, Nightwing Casting and Batbot Drone Rumors

Production for Batman Vs Superman is underway and rumors are flying faster than the Man of Steel himself. Last week, the world got a firsthand account of Ben Affleck's Batsuit from Kevin Smith. Reports are also surfacing that Batman’s trusty sidekick, Robin/Nightwing, will also be in the film. Now we are getting reports that Batman will be employing an army of Batbot drones in his war on crime.

Last week, Kevin Smith told the world that he got a look at the new and improved Batsuit. Smith boasted about the new suit on his webcast, Hollywood Babble-On:

"I don't want to give anything away cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this...I instantly bear hugged [Snyder]. You have not seen this costume in film before. Because every other movie has done this Matrix-y black armor thing...There wasn't a single nipple on this f**king suit man. I think everyone is gonna be like 'Holy S--t!' We haven't been down this path before. Even the Hardest core 'f--k this movie' person will be like 'alright, I'm ready!'"

Latino Review recently reported that Batman’s former sidekick, Nightwing, will also be in the film:

"According to a very trusted source, the rumor is that Dick Grayson (aka Nightwing) is going to be in the movie. The reason I say rumor is that for the last couple of weeks I've been trying to get the scoop confirmed, but because of the ultra-secrecy surrounding the project, it's been almost impossible...I checked in with my agency sources and there is a breakdown out there, where the production is looking for a young, John Hawkes type. I'm not saying they're casting him in the movie. But they're looking for a younger version of him and there have been some names that have auditioned for this 'young John Hawkes' role, which I'm told is Dick Grayson."

One of the names boasted about in the rumor mill has been Girls star Adam Driver. Driver addressed the rumors in an interview with Huffington Post:

“No, there's no truth to it. I don't know whoever put it on there. I don't know how these things get [started]--I don't know how it first came about.”

Meanwhile, film producer Daniel Alter tweeted a possible plot spoiler for the film:

“Can't wait for #BatmanvsSuperman.. #batfleck semi-retired/not speaking to Robin anymore.. Controlling drones from the batcave.”

Anyone who caught the Man of Steel knows how Superman feels about drones.
