Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling Break Up Before ‘How To Catch a Monster,’ Cancel Wedding

Rumors are flying that Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are breaking up and canceling their wedding. These latest claims come before the release of their new film, How To Catch a Monster.

Things might not be going great for Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling. According to multiple reports, the actors are ready to part ways.

A source recently spoke with OK! about Eva and Ryan’s relationship, and things are not looking great:

“Eva said the relationship just ran its course. There wasn’t a lot to say. He was everything you’re supposed to want in a guy--great on paper--but she felt like something was missing.”

The insider went on to reveal that Ryan wanted more from their relationship. Allegedly, it was Eva who was scared to commit:

“Maybe that’s the commitment-phobe in her. Ryan wanted more, and then realized that just wasn’t going to happen...The more he wanted to get more serious, the more she pulled back. So, to him, it just wasn’t worth investing his heart into the relationship, and he stopped caring.”

If the breakup rumors are real, then Ryan and Eva must be overjoyed that filming has completed on How to Catch a Monster. This will be Ryan’s directorial debut. Eva, too, stars in the upcoming sci-fi movie.

While little is known about the project, Wikipedia offers what information is available:

“How to Catch a Monster is an upcoming American fantasy-neo-noir film written, produced and directed by Ryan Gosling, in his directorial debut. The film stars Christina Hendricks, Matt Smith, Saoirse Ronan and Eva Mendes. It began filming in Detroit on May 6, 2013,[1] with an expected release date sometime in 2014.”
