‘Batman Vs Superman’ Batsuit and Robin Rumors, ‘TVD’s’ Steven McQueen Cast As Nightwing in ‘Arrow?’

Batman Vs Superman filming is barely underway, and Kevin Smith already got a peek of the new Batsuit. Rumors are also surfacing that the Dark Knight’s sidekick, Robin, will appear in the film. Meanwhile, TVD’s Steven McQueen has reportedly been cast as Nightwing in the hit CW series, Arrow.

Kevin Smith recently got a sneak peak of his good buddy Ben Affleck in the new Batsuit and he was blown away. Smith told listeners about the new suit on his podcast Hollywood Babble-On:

"I don't want to give anything away cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this...I instantly bear hugged [Snyder]. You have not seen this costume in film before. Because every other movie has done this Matrix-y black armor thing...There wasn't a single nipple on this f**king suit man. I think everyone is gonna be like 'Holy S--t!' We haven't been down this path before. Even the Hardest core 'f--k this movie' person will be like 'alright, I'm ready!'"

It's also been reported that Batman’s trusty sidekick Robin will appear in the film. Latino Review recently broke the news, reporting:

"According to a very trusted source, the rumor is that Dick Grayson (aka Nightwing) is going to be in the movie. The reason I say rumor is that for the last couple of weeks I've been trying to get the scoop confirmed, but because of the ultra-secrecy surrounding the project, it's been almost impossible...I checked in with my agency sources and there is a breakdown out there, where the production is looking for a young, John Hawkes type. I'm not saying they're casting him in the movie. But they're looking for a younger version of him and there have been some names that have auditioned for this 'young John Hawkes' role, which I'm told is Dick Grayson."

Meanwhile, Grayson might be making an appearance in Starling City some time soon. TVD’s Steven McQueen recently tweeted a picture of himself working out with a Nightwing shirt, along with the message:

“Nightwing training @ARROWwriters @GBerlanti @KyleDHiggins @RapaportCasting.”

McQueen also added:

“Had some superhero conversations with the executives this weekend @ARROWwriters.”
