The Luanda International Jazz Festival 2012 closed Sunday after performances of national and international artists.
Artists featured in the annual festival include the American flutist and saxophonist Hubert Laws, Angolan musicians Coréon Dú, Simmons Massini, and Africanita, and American jazz musician Cassandra Wilson. The festival also counted on the performance of the Cameroonian Etinne Mbapp.
Highlight of the closing event was American group "Boyz II Man" who thrilled the crowd with excitement.
Held annually since 2009 in Luanda, Angola, the Luanda Jazz Festival features many notable Angolan musicians. During the three-day event, the public listened and danced to the songs of musicians from various cultures.
The festival was also attended by José Eduardo dos Santos, the Angolan Head of State, for two consecutive days.
