Zendaya has returned to Dancing with the Stars after placing second in last season's competition. The 17-year-old "Reply" songstress recently said goodbye to her hit Disney Channel series, Shake it Up, and to her co-star Bella Thorne.
Shake it Up officially aired its last new episode this past Sunday. Zendaya recently spoke with TV Guide about the finale:
"It's a rough episode for Rocky. After CeCe has a serious fall and hits her head, she can't remember who she is, and Rocky struggles with the fact that her best friend can't remember her. She tries to jog her memory by taking her down memory lane throughout the episode."
She later added:
"At the time, we didn't know it was the series finale, even though we kind of had an idea. Looking back on it, it was actually a great episode to shoot and we had a wonderful time."
She also spoke about her time on DWTS, adding:
"My fan base changed so much after being on DWTS! Not only do I have the little kids, but I have their mothers and their mother's mothers too!"
She also teased that she might return to reality TV:
"DWTS was the most stressful thing I have ever done so I would say no right now, but you know how people say, 'Never say never!'"
Meanwhile, Zendaya returned to the set of Dancing With the Stars on Monday. Zendaya joined Florence Henderson as part of the show's audience.
Zendaya expressed a little bit of bitterness towards the competition when she tweeted, “So I’m done watching this show."
Zendaya's anger is a combination of her own loss on the show, as well as the recent elimination of her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, and his new teammate, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren. Zendaya later tweeted:
"Well that’s tv for ya…real talent always rises to the top anyway #overit #yesimbitter.”
