Charlie Sheen Talks 'Spawn 2' Casting and 'Two and a Half Men' Reunion, Teases New Project With Chuck Lorre

Charlie Sheen loves to watch his father's old movies, so it shouldn't be surprising to find out that he is up to date on any possible sequels. Sheen recently tweeted that Spawn 2 was being cast. Sheen's father's work isn't the only thing that he is keeping tabs on. Sheen is also attempting to reunite with Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre and apparently he has a new project planned.

Sheen recently tweeted that Spawn 2, is now in progress:

"THIS JUST IN: R.O.T.Y. runner up Yasiel Puig set to star in "Spawn 2 - The Revenge" details to follow c hashtag huge."

Sheen's father, Martin, was a part of the original 1997 film.

Earlier this year, Spawn Creator Todd Mcfarlane told Newsarama that he has big plans (and a small budget) for a reboot:

“I’ve had the idea in my head for over 10 years...and I want to write, produce and direct it and just go, ‘ here it is. I’m 80% through the script, I did my due diligence, went around Hollywood...I listened to the pitch from all the big studios, but I just went, ‘nah, I need to make this small and tight and contained.’ And if we keep the budget small, they’ll allow me to do all of that. [But] if you blow up the budget…and I understand that. I wouldn’t hire me, either. But then I have to give it away.”

Back in 2011, the original film's star, Michael Jai White, told Screen Rant that he wanted to be in the reboot:

“I hope he does [make the film]. In the next couple years I might have to produce it myself. It’s a no-brainer. Look at how these movies have done, superhero movies that have gone dark, and there hasn’t been one darker than Spawn. If we do it like we want to, it could be a game changer. I think Todd feels the same way as me–that we go R. Not a kinder, gentler Spawn, we go straight R–like pushing it, pushing NC-17. Give the fans what they expect. That edge brought [the comic book] to where it is. I would really like to show what that character can be.”

Meanwhile, Sheen plans on rehashing some old projects of his own. He recently tweeted a picture of the People's Choice Award he won for Two and a Half Men, along with a message for the shows creator Chuck Lorre:

"hey Chuck. I have an idea that u need to hear after I make amends to you and yours. which I will do in person. xox c."
