Brandi Glanville, of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, recently defended co-star Camille Grammer. Her support comes after it was revealed that Camille was the victim of domestic abuse. So far, Brandi has been able to set aside her feud with LeAnn Rimes to comfort her friend.
Brandi recently opened up about the struggles that Camille has been facing as of late. The reality star told Access Hollywood:
“I’ve been in contact with [Camille] and she’s not OK. She’s definitely moving forward, pressing charges. She just didn’t want to let it go on. I guess it’s been volatile for a while. We knew him, but he never spoke, he never talked. I was surprised, but I wasn’t shocked because I’d seen them fight and I heard them fight before, but I couldn’t believe that he laid his hands on her...I do believe it, she’s not a liar.”
People claims to have obtained official court documents, that show Camille filed a restraining order against her boyfriend. Camille reportedly told the court that the two began fighting early in the a.m. and things quickly escalated:
"He grabbed me by the hair, twisted it around his hand, and repeatedly pulled my head into the bed and its headboard. [He] succeeded in pulling out swaths of my hair and gave me a large, painful contusion on the side of my head. All the while, I was screaming for help."
Brandi isn’t the only castmate to respond to the abuse allegations. Taylor Armstrong also spoke out to E! News, exclusively:
“I am shocked and saddened by reports that Camille was in an abusive relationship. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to take a stand and report abuse. Camille made the right choice and I am proud of my friend. She has my love and support during this challenging time with both her health and her personal life."
