In a special two-night event, Steven Reineke and the National Symphony Orchestra Pops will pair up with television stars Darren Criss and Betsy Wolfe at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall for a special evening of tunes from The Book of Mormon, Frozen and more.
Mr. Criss is known for his role on the Golden Globe-winning series Glee and is also an Emmy-nominated composer with Ms. Wolfe who is a soprano superstar who recently starred in roles on Bullets of Broadway and The Last Five Years.
The duo, coupled with the NSO Pops and its 80 years of programming, should make for a remarkable evening. On the bill for the gala are fan favorites from The Book of Mormon, Honeymoon in Vegas, Frozen, The Last Five Years, and The Bridges of Madison County along with songs from modern classics Cabaret, Company, Little Shop of Horrors, Nine and much more.
Unfortunately, it's been announced that Jeremy Jordan, who originally stated that he would be participating in the program, has had to cancel due to a scheduling conflict.
The program runs approximately two hours including one 15-minute intermission.
Tickets for the evening run anywhere from $25 to $99 and can be purchased here.
Also, coming to Carnegie Hall March 11, the New York Pop led by Steven Reineke will continue it's 33rd season at Stern Auditorium with a performance by the singing duo, too.
The New York date will feature a similar program, also, with Jeremy Jordan also having to bow out with a similar scheduling conflict.
Pairing the television and stage superstars will make for an interesting juxtaposition alongside both orchestras and should be worth the ticket.
But don't take our word for it, preview the singers below before the event.
