Tim Hecker Announces 'Love Streams' Tour With Shows at Warsaw and Moogfest

Tim Hecker announced last month the title of his next studio album, Love Streams, which will be released via 4AD on April 8. The album has also premiered a single from the disc entitled "Castrati Stack." In support of that new album, too, Hecker will drop by Brooklyn's own hole-in-the-wall Warsaw here in Williamsburg.

Hecker's latest release, "Castrati Stack" is a track off the newly announced 2016 album. He's been quoted as saying that the forthcoming album is inspired by "liturgical aesthetics after Yeezus" and the "transcendental voice in the age of auto-tune." So, the newest single follows much in that vein or creativity.

It's been announced that the album will feature Kara-Lis Coverdale and Grímur Helgason, who worked with the Icelandic Choir Ensemble, with vocal arrangements scored by the Oscar-nominated composer Jóhann Jóhannsson.

And the album's sessions took place at Greenhouse Studios, the makeshift home of Classicalite darlings Bedroom Community in Reykjavik, Iceland, which feature Nico Muhly, Nadia Sirota and more.

Check out the stunning visual concept for "Castrati Stack" below in a video with the albums tracklist to follow. Also to follow, Hecker's tour schedule, which include a stop, of course, at Brooklyn's Warsaw and the tech junkies' ever-beloved music gathering Moogfest.
