Ben Affleck made a mockery of his marriage to Jennifer Garner when he gave his infamous Argo Oscar speech. When he was acccepting his award, Affleck called his marriage "work," prompting a slew of divorce rumors. Now it appears that it's Garner's turn to publicly ridicule her husband. Jennifer went so far as to compare the future Batman to the Devil. These latest rumors come before the release date of the highly-anticipated Batman Vs. Superman film.
Ben Affleck caused the whole world to doubt his marriage, when he gave his Argo Oscar speech. The A-list actor implied that he and Garner were having some troubles, saying:
“I want to thank you for working on marriage for ten Christmases. It’s good, it is work, but it’s the best kind of work, and there’s no one I’d rather work with.”
Garner wasn't thrilled with her husband airing their dirty laundry in public, but she did understand why he did it, telling The Telegraph:
"I knew he meant it as the hugest, warmest compliment in the world."
However, Garner has taken to airing some dirty laundry on her own, telling Jimmy Kimmel about her husband's unhealthy obsession with the Red Socks:
“The Red Sox--that’s all that really happens at my house. I don’t know if kids are being fed.…Trick or treat may be canceled if there’s a Game 7."
Garner also added that Affleck's obsession is just something that she has to live with:
"It's one of many deals that you make with the devil."
Garner also told the host that she often uses the phrase, "#NoDisrespectToBenAffleck."
"I say that all the time! I say, 'you look crazy, hashtag, no disrespect to Ben Affleck'. I mean, just on an average day, that might be how I greet him in the morning!"
The Twitter hashtag was created by Kanye West during his Twitter war with Jimmy Kimmel, when West tweeted:
"SHOULD I DO A SPOOF ABOUT YOUR FACE OR YOU F**KING BEN AFFLECK#NODISRESPECTTOBENAFFLECK#ALLDISRESPECTTOJIMMYKIMMEL."
Garner also threw her husband under the bus on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, when she made fun of her hubby's lackluster performance as the Tin Man, for the family's Wizard of Oz themed Halloween costume:
"So we were Wizard of Oz. I was Glenda, and we had Dorothy, Scarecrow, and…the Lion...So we go to another neighborhood to trick or treat and I am wearing a full-on ball gown. It was itchy. It was uncomfortable. There is not another grown-up in sight dressed up except for Ben Affleck and me. And he is in full-on Tin Man....He took his Tin Man off and walked around and left me, his wingman, his life partner hanging as Glenda. I'm just in agony."
