At this point it seems like fans of Dancing with the Stars have been told more about who won't be on Season 22 than who will. According to the latest gossip news updates, a very pregnant Allison Hooker recently announced that, like Julianne Hough, she too will not be able to be a part of the TV show's 2016 cast. Although she would like to get back in top fighting shape in time for the March 21, premiere date, Holker believes it's far more likely she'll be spending that day giving birth in a hospital delivery room. As sad as not being able to compete this year has Allison, she is said to be just as upset that Hough won't be judging in 2016, after doing such a great job last year.
Following Julianne Hough's breaking the news last week that she will not be participating in Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars is Allison Holker's recent admission that she too will have to pass on the upcoming season.
Holker explained to Entertainment Tonight that despite her best intentions, dancing on the show this year was going to be a physical impossibility:
"Oh, no, it's definitely not a possibility [that I'll be back in time].
"I always try to look at myself as a superhero, like a super woman that I could do anything and I could make it back. But I'll probably be in the delivery room during the premiere of the show. Hopefully [I can] come back for the fall."
According to Holker, even more upsetting that her own inability to participate in Season 22 is the news that Julianne Hough isn't going to be coming back as a judge:
"That makes me very sad because I thought Julianne was doing a fantastic job, and I just love her and I respect her so much as an artist.
"I feel like as a pro she's someone I kind of strive to be like."
While ABC still hasn't released any names officially, People points out that it can at least be assumed that former Pros Witney Carson and Carlos Penavega will be returning, judging by their prominent appearance on the Dancing with the Stars' latest Season 22 promo posters:
"Featured on the two black-and-gold posters are Witney Carson, who took her partner Carlos Penavega all the way to the semi-finals last year, and Keo Motsepe, who was most-recently partnered with legendary singer Chaka Khan."
The rest of the Dancing with the Stars 2016 cast lineup will be announced live Tuesday, March 8, on ABC's Good Morning America.
Tune in between 7 and 9 a.m. to finally find out who Witney and Carlos' celebrity partners are going to be.
