Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are so ready to get married that they want the issue with Gavin Rossdale to be done and over with.
Since the Bush lead singer's cheating scandal with the nanny, Stefani's foot was already out the door and she was ready to leave the drama behind. The former No Doubt frontwoman reportedly wanted to have a fresh start with her 39-year-old country superstar boyfriend and the duo had plans of tying the knot but Rossdale is allegedly dragging the divorce proceedings.
According to HollywoodLife, "[Gwen] has been pushing her attorneys to do all they can to finalize her divorce from Gavin as soon as possible," the source explained.
In July 2015, Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced they were divorcing after being married for four years. Unlike Stefani and Rossdale, the country power couple skipped the drama and finalized their divorce just hours after their announcement.
"In Oklahoma, it happens so fast," Shelton told the Bobby Bones Show at that time. "Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had our prenuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in a nine- or 10-day waiting period."
This is understandably upsetting for the 46-year-old rockstar because her divorce proceedings aren't going as smoothly. The site even revealed that according to Life & Style magazine, “Gwen feels like she’s in a race with Miranda to see who can get married first. She can’t help it — she’s playing along with [Miranda’s] games.” Lambert is currently dating 27-year-old rhythm and blues/pop musician Anderson East, and judging by the pace of their new found relationship, they may actually beat Stefani and Shelton to the altar.
