Zayn Malik infamously ended his engagement with Perrie Edwards through a text message back in August. And if that's not hurtful enough, a new report now claims that Malik is more in love with his new girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, than he was with the Little Mix star.
HollywoodLife has learned exclusively that the 23-year-old "Pillowtalk" singer's relationship with Hadid made him love America and even considered living stateside for her.
“With Perrie [Edwards], he had a very English experience to America," the source said. "[He] kept all his old British habits and pretty much didn’t really want to open up to anything new and wouldn’t have even entertained the idea of living stateside.”
The sources then explained that Malik and Edwards had different views about living in the U.S. His former fiancee had some reservations about the place but Hadid made him feel right at home and he loved it.
“Perrie never wanted to live in the U.S., but Zayn loved it whenever he toured America," the source added. "So there was never this idea of fitting in and adapting to a different culture."
The source then went on to say that "Gigi has really introduced him to U.S. life, like watching American sports, eating good Mexican food and sushi in Los Angeles."
The 20-year-old model made sure that her boyfriend will experience what it's like to be a local in her hometown and the site reports that the former One Direction star had spent time on the beach with his new lady love, which is something that he was never interested in doing before.
