The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Joe and Teresa Giudice are still facing a possible arrest and millions in fines if convicted of fraud. Despite rapidly mounting legal woes, Teresa made time to sit down with a tabloid and discuss her case, marriage, children and faith.
2013 has not been a kind year for Teresa and Joe. Soon, Joe will appear in court to face allegations that he used his brother’s identity to procure a license for himself, after losing his own to a DUI conviction.
Of course, the couple is facing far more serious allegations than that. Specifically, they are being charged with over 39 counts of fraud. If convicted, they could spend the next 50 years behind bars, face millions of dollars in fines and spend the rest of their life behind bars.
Still, Teresa is being brave…or at least that’s how it seemed when she sat down with Star for a quick Q&A. Parts of the interview were particularly newsworthy, especially when she responded to questions about how much her children know about the trial:
“The little ones know nothing. Gia knows a bit. But she is only concerned that we love her, and we always tell her we love her. If she has more questions, I will answer them. I wold rather her ask us than to hear things from other people who do not know us or the situation.”
Teresa was also asked about how her husband was holding up. As usual, she stands by her man:
“Joe is always an optimist, but he realizes this is a serious situation. He looks forward to his day in court. He wants to move forward, and his only concern is for our family.”
Of course, it’s not just Joe who’s helping her get through things, it’s also her faith. Teresa, when asked who she could trust, responded:
“That’s a hard one. Of course, my husband and our family and our legal team. I also have a great faith, and that helps a lot.”
