Selena Gomez has been making a lot of news in 2013 about her dating. While it has been rumored that she may be seeing her old boyfriend, Justin Bieber, or talking to Union J’s George Shelley, Gomez put those rumors to rest lately. Turns out the pop star is looking for an older man.
KIIS FM was lucky enough to have Selena Gomez in the studio to answer a few questions. When the young starlet was presented with the idea of dating an older man, Selena was overjoyed at the idea. She went on to tell the hosts:
”I’m 21, so I would like somebody that maybe would be like 25, 26--that would be nice.”
This isn’t the first time that Selena has commented on her dating patterns in recent weeks--far from it, actually.
Prior to this interview, Selena made an appearance on the Zach Sang and the Gang radio show. There, the singer admitted that she has only been asked out once since her break up with the Biebs. And it turns out that she didn’t even accept:
“Do you know I’ve been asked out on one date, that’s it? I’ll say what I said to that boy. I said, ‘Thank you very much, but I’m not in the place where I want to date right now.’ I’m very content with how I’ve been living my life and you know if that comes that comes, but I’m enjoying being single.”
This is hard to believe for several reasons. First, she is a beautiful, talented young woman, so it’s difficult to think that only one person has asked her out since Justin. Second, multiple reports have linked her to Union J’s own George Shelley.
One of the most insistent publications is The Sun. The British tabloid quotes a source who claims that the couple recently spent the night together:
“Everyone else left the room at 2 a.m. so they were able to spend the night together. Nobody was annoyed with George. After all, he's been pursued by one of the biggest pop stars in the world--it's any lad's dream come true.”
