Kate and Jon Gosselin, who appear to be bankrupt, are once again fighting. This time, the former couple is battling over comments Jon recently made about their children, where he alleged that they suffer from developmental issues. The duo is also battling it out for money and are involved in at least one lawsuit.
Jon made headlines recently when he granted an interview with talk show host Oprah Winfrey. During the sit-down, the father of eight told O that his children suffered from developmental issues:
“They have problems with their peers, and with talking to other people…[and recognizing] wants and needs and manners and morals and what's right and what's wrong. I think more so than someone who grows up off TV."
Kate was quick to respond on her personal blog:
“I find it very heart breaking that my children’s father chooses a public forum to discuss his current opinions of the ‘development’ of our children. These opinions are, in reality, value judgements made about our children and they are based on his limited visits (albeit mutually agreed upon) with our children.”
She went on to defend their children, insisting that they are happy and healthy:
“Because he has spoken negatively about our children, I feel I owe it to them to respond on their behalf. Each and every one of our children has met and continues to exceed all physical, mental and emotional developmental milestones throughout their lives. Their normal development is regularly monitored by myself, their pediatrician and school staff, as is usual within any family.”
It appears that John may have a few “developmental” challenges of his own, considering he drew a gun on a paparazzo over the summer.
The female photog followed Mr. Gosselin home from work, in an attempt to get a photo of the embattled has-been. When they reached his home, Jon aggressively pursued the woman.
When he noticed she was taking photos of him, Mr. Gosselin removed a pistol from his pants and proceeded to fire rounds, in an effort to intimidate the female paparazzi member.
But Jon wasn’t done there, he then hopped in his vehicle and followed the woman. It wasn’t until they reached the main road that Jon relented. The paparazzo has since revealed that she will be pressing charges.
