Amanda Bynes 2013 Mental Health and Illness Improving: May Leave Institute by Christmas [RUMORS]

It appears that Amanda Bynes mental health is improving in 2013. According to the latest rumors, if her illness continues to stabilize, she may be able to leave the institute before Christmas.

TMZ, the world’s leading gossip site, claims that Amanda may be getting out of rehab sooner than expected. The troubled young starlet is making progress, according to a source who spoke to the magazine:

“Amanda's meds and psychological counseling have sufficiently stabilized her so her doctors will let her leave the Malibu rehab facility where she's been held since September…Doctors will release Amanda to her mom, who will then take her to the family house and provide supervision. The move will take place sometime next month.”

While representatives for Amanda have yet to comment, this report seems in line with other recent articles. Fox 411 previously revealed that Amanda has been given day passes from the institute. According to a source who spoke with the publication:

“Amanda is being given two passes a week to go the beach, or out to eat and do things like that, accompanied by a professional handler. She is making great progress.”

Of course, not all of the reports have been so kind. As recent as last week, OK! reported that Bynes was struggling, quoting a source who revealed:

“She has had some breakdowns, can’t function, can’t watch TV. It’s so sad.”

Though, the source didn’t offer any evidence to support their claims. It’s this kind of unsubstantiated rumors that Amanda’s mom, Lynn Bynes, spoke about. In an interview with People, the 66-year-old mother addressed all of the gossip about her daughter, telling the publication:

"I would really like everyone out there to know that almost 99 percent of the things written about my daughter in various media outlets are false or misleading. Unless it's a statement issued by our family attorney, Tamar Arminak, please take everything you read about Amanda with a grain of salt."
