Phoenix Suns Rumors: Is It Time to Trade Markieff Morris Finally After Scuffle With Goodwin?

Ever since the Phoenix Suns traded away Marcus Morris, twin brother to Markieff Morris, things haven't been good. Not for the Markieff or the Suns. Things have gone way downhill, indeed, for a team that many expected to continue to grow after a couple of promising seasons. Instead, major regression has left many to wonder and rumors to be spread. But after Morris' scuffle with Archie Goodwin, is it finally time to trade the other twin?

Truly, trading Marcus was a horrible move that bit the Suns in ass.

In a salary dump attempt to lure in LaMarcus Aldridge, they traded Morris (Marcus, for anyone confused), Reggie Bullock and Danny Granger to the Detroit Pistons for a second-round pick in 2020. Aldridge, of course, signed with division rival San Antonio Spurs, and the Suns were left with a second-round pick and the signing of Tyson Chandler.

Oh, and a disgruntled Morris (Markieff, that is, this time).

This Morris has been having career worst season in 2015-16, and it's had an impact in the locker room. But never more than tonight, as he choked out his "little brother" (as he so oddly put) Goodwin on the sideline -- not in good taste for anyone involved here.

Everyone on the Suns is downplaying it, including Morris and interim head coach Earl Watson. But there's no question, the Suns' brass knows how this looks. With the team's performance down in the dumps, as well as Morris', it's time to cut ties.

He doesn't want to play there anymore -- that much is sure. Try to trade him to Detroit if you can -- if not, take the best deal available and move on. It's not conducive for a young team to have these kinds of problems. They can't build together in a hostile environment, and no matter what happens or how much they downplay an incident like this, Morris isn't happy there.

Will it happen? Who knows.

Should it happen? Absolutely.
