Steven Yeun, the actor who plays Glenn on the AMC hit series, The Walking Dead, was the victim of a recent theft. Someone (hopefully not an infected) broke into his car last weekend at a Walker Stalker Convention in Atlanta. Meanwhile, Yeun's beloved character Glenn is currently battling a major threat and may die in the new episode. Warning Spoilers Follow
Steven Yeun took to Instagram to tell the world that his car was broken into this past weekend. The star posted a picture of his broken window on the social networking site along with a message to thief that read:
"Enjoy the pictures that I took on there of all the beautiful people that I love. But I hope you also enjoy the pictures I took of my stupid messy room...you also took my book too....I was half way through that thing...now I have to start over from the beginning."
Yeun reported the break in to police, along with a list of items that were stolen, including the aforementioned book, Malcom Gladwell's David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits and the Art of Battling Giants. Other items taken from Yeun's car included Ricoh camera, a black iPod, and a MacBook Air. Although the item that Yeun misses the most is a simple notebook:
"What (ticks) me off most is that you took my notebook full of my dumb ideas that I will never use. I loved those dumb ideas. It was a constant reminder for me to do better. Now I gotta write down all those dumb ideas over again."
Although, Yeun might have more to worry about, considering his character on the show is currently sick with a deadly virus. It's been established that no one is safe in the Walking Dead universe and Glenn recently died in the comic book adaptation. Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman told the Associated Press about the death:
"It was really strange for me writing that, knowing that Steven was going to read it. There was a concern like I didn't want Steven to read it and think I was mad at him."
However, that is not necessarily a death sentence for Steven Yeun on the show, considering the comics and the TV series vary greatly. Yeun also commented about not knowing his fate:
"No, there's never reassurances on the show. Obviously, I would like to keep it going as long as possible, but it would be fun to go out that way too...At first when I read it I was like, 'Wow.' I thought it was brave. I thought it was terrifying. I actually loved it. I mean what a way to take a beloved character away from the readers, just snatch it away."
