While Tor Hyams and Lisa Rothauser have had no problem publicizing the amazing pool of singers they have assembled for their one night only concert at the Feinstein's/54 Below stage on February 8, entitled The Songs of Tor and Lisa, they haven't been too forthcoming about exactly which songs are scheduled for the performance.
According to a recent press release touting the show, Tor Hyams and Lisa Rothauser's The Songs of Tor and Lisa is set to be a who's who of veteran talent from reality TV alums to Broadway vets:
Apparently Tony Vincent (NBC's The Voice, American Idiot), Brandon Victor Dixon (Motown, The Color Purple), John Cariani (Something Rotten, Law & Order), Josh Grisetti (It Shoulda Been You), Barbara Walsh (Falsettos, Company), Leenya Rideout (Warhorse, Cabaret) and Drew Gehling (Waitress) will al be making an appearance.
As for the songs to be performed, Hyams explained in a joint interview with Broadway World that the concert would consist of a hodgepodge collection drawing from all their current projects:
"We are actually presenting songs from 4 different projects we are writing in various stages of development.
"One project is Stealing Time, which is our first musical. One project is from a show we are writing with John Cariani. Then there is another project called Auburn.
"Then there are a few tunes we like to put in the 'What if?' category, which is we just imagined part of a show, but we were just excited by the idea of'What if?' So there's that."
The Songs of Tor and Lisa starts Monday night at 9:30 p.m. with the doors set to open at 8:45.
Tickets run between $30-$40 with the premium seats going for $60.
