Washington Wizards: John Wall's 41 Lost in Stephen Curry's 51-Point Outburst, But Here's Props

The Golden State Warriors scored a ridiculous amount of points and Stephen Curry went off -- what else is new? Many will write about how amazing Curry's 51-point outburst was tonight, but what shouldn't be lost in the flurry is John Wall's 41. So here's some props to the Washington Wizards' star guard.

It's amazing, really.

Wall had his best game of the year and he had plenty of help as the team put up an outstanding 121 points in a game that didn't go to overtime.

And they still lost.

By 13 points.

Are we sure that the Warriors are all humans?

Curry certainly wasn't tonight, as some of his shots seemed to come from other galaxies, as they often do. He went an amazing 19-of-28 from the floor and even more impressive 11-of-16 from beyond the arc. His seven turnovers and only two assists was a bit less impressive, but it doesn't really matter when you're that efficient with every shot you take.

OK, I'm getting off track. This was supposed to be about Wall and the Wizards. Sorry.

Again, Wall was every bit as impressive. Scoring 41 points on 17-of-25 shooting, and didn't have to rely on the deep ball -- though, he was 3-of-3 from there as well. You can also throw on 10 assists to only three turnovers, and a couple of steals himself to add to his state line; honestly, it's debatable that Wall was more impressive individually-speaking than Curry tonight (but most won't admit that). He did all that in under 35 minutes of play too.

Unfortunately, even with the help -- 16 steals and 50.5 percent shooting as a whole -- his team obviously isn't anywhere near the level of Golden State. They were outrebounded 49-38 and outside of Wall's perfect mark from deep, the rest of the Wizards were just 5-of-20 from three.

The Warriors, on the other hand, went 20-of-42 from deep (9-of-26 from players not named Curry).

Wall's effort shouldn't be ignored. He's a great player who's having another phenomenal season averaging about 20 points, 10 assists, four boards and two steals per game. It's a shame that his best game of the year resulted in a loss, but that's what tends to happen against the Warriors.

This is another example of how the only time Golden State ever seems to lose is when they beat themselves. They're so good that this season, that's only happened four out of 49 tries.
