Rumors are flying that Cressida Bonas and Prince Harry may soon be engaged. The latest claims say that Harry and his girlfriend could have a wedding within a year. In England, the betting has already begun.
According to The Mirror, citizens of Britain are placing money on when Harry will pop the question to his girlfriend, Cressida Bonas:
“Rumours of an imminent engagement have seen punters reaching for their wallets to place a bet on when Harry will pop the question. William Hill have shortened the odds of the pair getting engaged in 2014 from 6/1 to 2/1 after recent bets - with money also coming in for a 2013 wedding announcement which is 3/1. Rupert Adam, a spokesman for the firm, said: ‘Harry looks smitten and it will come as no great surprise if he gets engaged to Cressida and possibly before the year is out.’”
They’re not the only ones predicting a wedding. According to a source who spoke to Heat, Harry will choose a romantic destination, like Iceland, to pop the big question:
"Harry's been training in Iceland for his walk to the South Pole in November and has fallen in love with the country. He wants to propose somewhere close to his heart and he wants to take Cressida to the famous Ice Hotel and then pop the question under the Northern Lights. He knows she'll love this.”
The same source claimed that Cressida would love a destination proposal, because of the privacy it offered:
“Harry's love life has always made headlines, but she's struggled with the limelight. The big advantage of sneaking off is that they can truly be alone...Harry wants to take her away around Christmas time. Probably before New Year."
This report does, however, seem inline with what we’ve heard from other gossip outlets, including Perez Hilton. One source who recently spoke with the celebrity blogger, revealed:
"Cressie is going to marry Harry. Harry never stops talking about marriage and children, and she has now got used to the idea. The wedding is likely to take place next year. [Harry] loves her-- they're so compatible. Cressie is very laid-back and he likes that. If all goes well, I'm 100 percent sure they'll be engaged next year.”
