Rupert Grint and Bonnie Wright Remember Alan Rickman At ‘Harry Potter’ Reunion

The cast of the Harry Potter franchise had a 3-day fan event at Universal Studios Orlando for the 2016 Celebration of Harry Potter. Sadly, the appearance by the cast wouldn't be complete as Alan Rickman recently died. However, it was the due honor that he be mentioned by the gang, with Rupert Grint and Bonnie Wright had nothing but sweet things to say about their beloved co-star.

Rickman brought the character of Professor Snape to life in the epic fantasy movie series and even though Snape was a terror, the actor was the complete opposite.

“I really didn’t see it coming…He was such an amazing man. So many memories," Grint, who is famously known as Ron Weasley told HollywoodLife.

The 27-year-old actor then gave an expample of how amicable Rickman was when he saw Grint sketching him. Although they drawing may not have done Rickman any justice, the English actor and director took the sketch and kept it.

"I remember once in the early films, I drew a picture of him in a potions class," Grint recalled. "It wasn’t the most flattering portrait. I can remember feeling him breathing down my neck as he was watching me do it. I was really terrified, but he was really cool about it in the end. He kept it and he was just the sweetest guy.”

Wright, who played Grint's younger sister in the Harry Potter films, Ginny Weasley, also shared her experience with the late actor.

“He had this incredible quality of keeping in Snape,” she said. “[He was Snape] the minute he got out of the car in the morning, which is obviously a chilling experience as a child."

The 24-year-old actress and model revealed that Rickman's dedication to his character had helped them portray their own characters much better.

"As a child, you have this high sense of energy and you lose concentration really quickly," she continued. "so having someone like that who was always really professional and a trained actor, it was really interesting to experience that.”

Rickman lost a battle with cancer on January 14, 2016. He was 69 years old.
