The boys of the Jonas Brothers recently took on all those rumors that surrounded their recent break up. Turns out it was Nick Jonas, who is no longer a virgin, to blame for the split. This is in direct contrast to a number of reports that claim it was Joe’s drug use that was responsible for the split.
The band broke the news on Good Morning America, where they were interviewed by Robin Roberts. According to E! News, it was Nick who began discussions to call it quits, as he explained:
"We're family first, and that's always been our main priority, and so honesty within what we do as a group was really important. I came to the table with the guys just before we were prepping to leave for tour, and I shared my heart with them, my feelings. In a nutshell, I said, ‘Look, I feel like we've had some complications within the group for a long time without addressing them. I think this train will fall off the tracks without really getting real about some of the concerns and some of the limitations that we may feel as individuals in the group.' It was a tough conversation...It was the first time we really had that real conversation. It was a few days of working through it."
Star, however, is reporting that there is something more serious to blame for the break up. According to the publication, Joe is battling a deadly drug addiction:
“He’s been dealing with substance abuse issues for quite some time. The tour would have never survived with how Joe was behaving. His family have been begging him to seek help. At this point, Nick and Kevin don’t care what is going on with the band, they just want to see their brother healthy. They’ve had discussions with Joe about their fears for him and the importance of getting help.”
