Willie Robertson, of Duck Dynasty fame, recently talked about what it was like to go country on his new album, Duck the Halls. The Christmas album released this week and is likely to be a huge success.
It seems like the Robertson family clan can’t do any wrong. Not only do they have a number one cable show, but now they are looking to have a number one album.
Of course, Willie was sure to downplay the album, when he told Today what it was like to work with hitmaker Buddy Cannon:
"We're not aspiring to be country music stars. When we first went in the studio with Buddy we didn't know what was going to happen, but we are very proud of the album.”
For just $11.99, iTunes users can purchase the 14-track holiday album. While the record consists of mostly traditional tunes, there are some originals, like “Rajin’ Cajun Christmas.” Boss man Willie co-wrote the jam with legendary songwriter Dallas Davidson.
The complete track list consist of:
1. Rajin Cajun Christmas
2. I’ll Be Home for Christmas
3. You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch
4. Christmas Cookies
5. Away in a Manger
6. Hairy Christmas
7. Baby, It’s Cold Outside
8. Duck the Halls
9. Camouflage and Christmas Lights
10. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
11. The Night Before Christmas
12. Why I Love Christmas
13. Silent Night
14. Phil’s Prayer, Willie’s Closing
