Like something out of a real life soap opera, Taylor Swift and Katie Holmes are allegedly fighting over 'True Blood' star Alexander Skarsgard. The love triangle rumors started flying the minute the three were cast in the new film, 'The Giver.' A rep for Taylor Swift has since denied the dating rumors.
Star has stired up the love triangle by quoteing an unnamed insider as saying, "Taylor is like a giddy schoolgirl around Alex.” The insider also adds that actress Katie Holmes is “very into him.”
Both Swift and Skarsgard have been reportedly getting close to each other on the set. The two were also caught on camera together, during a cast dinner in Cape Town.
Perez Hilton recently quoted an anonymous source who said:
"Before they left for Cape Town they had a couple of dinners in LA. He's much older than the guys Taylor has dated in the past year but maybe that's where she's going wrong."
However, Hilton later updated his post, adding:
''A rep for Taylor has told us that this little love rumor is false. The two didn't meet before heading to South Africa. And even though they're both gorge blondies, they are not dating...which means, more Alexander for us!''
The singer's rep also echoed the statement to the Mirror, saying:
"Taylor never met Alexander before she arrived in South Africa and they're not dating."
Just last month, Taylor told Glamour that she was single but she wasn't ruling out another celebrity boyfriend:
"You can’t say, ‘I'm never gonna date a high-profile person in the arts!’ But whoever I date, famous or not--whether I ever date again!--all chaos will break loose. With fabrication and frantic obsession and who likes who more and how it ended. But right now is easy because I’m single and happy, and it’s very relaxing.”
To further quell the rumors, Holmes, who recently joined Twitter, tweeted a pic her with her arm around Swift.
