Salman Khan Cancels 'Sultan' Shoots: Is He Regressing to Old Self

The acquittal a few months ago of the hit and run charge was supposed to be a turning point in Salman Khan's life. The last bit of drama finally fallen by the wayside and now he could concentrate on what he does best, make movies. However, trouble seems to be blowing in fast on Salman and, as usual , it appears to be of his own doing

According to Filmibeat, filming on Salman's impending epic film Sultan has became epic in its own regard. Khan has been abruptly ending filming prematurely and YRF producers are beside themselves as their movie begins to crumble right before their eyes. From Filmibeat, "Salman is apparently repeating all of these old antics in the current film's shooting as well. The actor not just comes late but cancels the shoot at the nth time leaving the crew members, director and producers all worried."

What is worse is that Salman has been canceling shoots at the very last second when everyone is on set and waiting, causing no end of headaches for the producers. The production is set to go on location in March and, with this going on, the creative team behind Sultan have been left wondering whether they can depend at all on Salman.

However, it is not all bad news. Because producers of Sultan took so long before finally casting Anushka Sharma in the lead, it will not be able to meet its EID release date and will thus be delayed. To quote Bollywood Life, "Aditya Chopra also wants this to be one of the biggest films of the year and hence he is going to be looking into a lot of aspects of the film including Anushka Sharma's look for the film. They will make her look like a real wrestler and also train her to speak in a Haryanvi accent before starting the shoot. This means that Sultan will still be on the floor till April end and the makers won't be able to complete all the post-production work till Eid. It seems the producers will now look for another suitable release date and make an official announcement soon."
