Just look at that line and you'll see how well the Warriors are playing right now. They've absolutely obliterated three teams that were expected to players for the NBA Finals this season in the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls. Golden State won each game by 30 or more points, and that's utterly ridiculous.
But do the Mavs have any shot at all?
In short, not really. Yes, the Mavs are the sixth seed in the West, and you'd like to say they could keep it competitive, but all signs point to a big Warriors victory.
The first time these two teams met this year was in Dallas, and the Warriors won 114-91. That's not to say it won't be different this time around, but being the average road team that the Mavs are, it seems unlikely.
Don't get me wrong, the Mavericks are a good basketball team. They've got veterans all across the board, and six players averaging at least nine points. That said, they lack the athleticism to run with Golden State, and their best player -- still Dirk Nowitzki, of course -- isn't exactly the most nimble of players. The only way the Mavs could keep up is if they dictate the pace of the game, but no team has been able to do that against the Warriors with any kind of consistency the past two seasons.
Tonight, don't expect any different.
Prediction: Warriors 121, Mavericks 104
