‘DWTS’ Ex-Scientologist Leah Remini Talks About Judges and Tom Bergeron Before Snooki Elimination

Ex-Scientologist and Dancing with the Stars contestant Leah Remini recently talked about the judges’ negative reaction to her dancing, as well as her discussions with host Tom Bergeron. Remini’s sit down came right before Snooki was eliminated from the reality dancing competition.

It’s the news that shocked the world. Well, actually it just shocked fans of Snooki, when it was revealed that the young mom would be hanging up her dancing shoes.

It seemed to catch the judges by surprise, too. Despite receiving positive feedback for her samba on Monday night, it wasn’t enough to save the Jersey Shore star from being eliminated.

Snooki appeared to be in tears when the decision was announced, telling the judges and audience:

"I can't even talk right now. I love everybody here, so it sucks."

Of course, Snooki’s elimination wasn’t the only thing about Dancing with the Stars that had people talking. Leah Remini recently answered some questions from TV Guide.

When asked about the judges criticizing a recent performance, Remini explained that she has been under a lot of stress lately, telling the publication:

“It was an emotional moment in time. Not only that, you've got your adrenaline going. I'd just finished dancing, I was trying to catch my breath and not have a heart attack. So I expected, ‘Oh, it was amazing,’ because it was filled with such emotion and Tony really took the time to choreograph something that really spoke to me. So I was a little disappointed...I wish I hadn't reacted, because I don't like to do that, but I am from New York. I am an emotional, passionate person. You could see my face. If that's the worst that I could do, then I was pretty happy with myself.”

Of course, it makes sense that Remini has been emotional lately. After all, she just left the Church of Scientology in a very high-profile manner.

Despite spending years within the organization, Remini called it quits over the summer. The comedic actress also made some noise when she filed a missing persons report on behalf of Shelly Miscavige. This is especially significant, considering that Shelly is the wife of the CEO of the CoS, David Miscavige.
