"Love More" singer Chris Brown has voluntarily entered rehab for treatment, following this weekend's assault. The rapper, who is facing a probation violation and possible jail time, has preemptively entered anger management. However, this could mean that the rapper may miss his upcoming court date and the release of his new record, X. The album comes out on Dec 3, and if his treatment takes more than a month or the judge sentences him to stay in treatment, then the album may drop before he is free.
Chirs Brown is entering rehab. A representative for the rapper recently released a statement to the press, commenting on his current treatment:
"Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."
Whether this is a legitimate attempt to change his ways or just a desperate attempt to save face before his upcoming parole hearing, remains to be seen. However, there is little doubt that Brown does in fact need a change. During a recent interview with 95.5 WPLU, legendary boxer Mike Tyson had a few words to say about Brown.
“I like and admire that little guy but what he really needs to understand is eventually if you keep doing that stuff, people are turning on you, the press will make…people turn on you and make you bad…I know he might say ‘hey never me’, ’cause that’s what I said, ‘never me, I’m the greatest fighter god ever created, never me’, and they couldn’t even book anything (for me). Not because I couldn’t sell things out but just because I had that stigma…“
Tyson also added a gem of wisdom:
"Chris should know this…if you’re not humble in this world, this world will dress humbleness upon you.”
