Lindsay Lohan seems to be slipping further and further from sobriety. The troubled starlet, who is supposedly in recovery after leaving rehab, has been spotted in several shady areas of late. Not only is the former child star hanging out with other addicts, but she has also been frequenting a NYC bar. Recently, Lilo was photographed seemingly reaching for a half-empty battle of wine. Her father, Michael Lohan, has come to her defense. Could Lindsay really be risking her $2 million payday with Oprah Winfrey for a few cheap thrills?
Lindsay Lohan isn't exactly known for making the best decisions. The actress has been in and out of rehab several times over the past few years. However, this most recent exit started off with a lot of promise. Lilo even has Oprah Winfrey in her corner, although its unclear for how long.
Lindsay's deal to produce a reality show with Winfrey hinges on her ability to stay sober. Recently, a picture of Lilo seemingly reaching for a bottle of wine has been circulating. If it is true that Lohan is back to the bottle, that would be one expensive drink.
Lindsay's father, Michael Lohan, recently defended his daughter, telling Radar Online:
"Oh my God. The story is ridiculous. First of all, I’ve never known Lindsay to ever, ever, ever have a glass of wine. I’ve seen and speak to Lindsay constantly and every time I do, she is of clear mind and by no means do I have any suspicion of her relapsing in any way."
Papa Lohan also recently spoke with the New York Daily News about Lilo's state of mind and her choice of friends, saying:
"She's absolutely fine. She's always great, she's up early every day and I'm happy that she's sober. If her friends care about her, they won't drink in front of her."
Michael also recently stepped up to take the blame for Lindsay's addiction issues, telling TMZ:
"I think because of [my and Dina's] divorce and what happened, Lindsay was put in a horrible position."
OK! recently quoted an anonymous source who claims that Lindsay's mom's recent arrest has the starlet scared that she will relapse:
"Lindsay now thinks that she's genetically doomed to self-destruct."
