When it comes to Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, rumors are always flying about who they may be dating after their high-profile break up. But now the “Come and Get It” singer is putting a few of those false claims to rest, as she informs the world that she is single and no one’s girlfriend.
Looks like rumors that Selena is dating George Shelley are totally false. When appearing on the Zach Sang and the Gang radio show, the singer admitted that she has only been asked out once since her break up with the Biebs. And it turns out that she didn’t even accept:
“Do you know I’ve been asked out on one date, that’s it? I’ll say what I said to that boy. I said, ‘Thank you very much, but I’m not in the place where I want to date right now.’ I’m very content with how I’ve been living my life and you know if that comes that comes, but I’m enjoying being single.”
Her latest statements caught many by surprise, considering The Sun reported that she and George Shelley were an item. The paper quotes an insider as revealing:
“Everyone else left the room at 2 a.m. so they were able to spend the night together. Nobody was annoyed with George. After all, he's been pursued by one of the biggest pop stars in the world--it's any lad's dream come true.”
Now some are claiming that she might not be over the Biebs. At a recent concert, the young woman broke into tears while singing “Love Will Remember.” TMZ reveals the significance of her sorrow:
“Selena started sobbing and weeping near the end of her ballad, ‘Love Will Remember’-- which is widely believed to be about the Biebs...partially because the original leaked version of the song featured a voicemail Justin left for Selena.”
