Lady Antebellum Performs New Song 'Compass' on 'Ellen,' New Album and 2014 Tour After Hillary Scott Gave Birth

Lady Antebellum recently appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where they performed their new hit song, "Compass," off of their new deluxe version of Golden. This was the trio's first public appearance since Hillary Scott gave birth to her new baby daughter, Eisele. The band's new tour was recently postponed to accommodate the new release.

Lady A recently performed their new single, "Compass," for the very first time in public. The band, who has been on hiatus since Hillary Scott gave birth, are gearing up for a new album and tour. Band member Charles Kelley recently told reporters about how the new song lead to a new record, saying:

“So, this song kind of came in to us over the summer, and obviously, we’d had some time off and just been writing a lot in our time off and kind of thinking about our next record. So, we kinda started putting our heads together, you know, ’Why not—since we’ve had so much time off—why not kind of repackage the record?’”

The band announced earlier in the month that the new record was forcing them to postpone their new tour. They broke the news via their website, LadyAntebellum.com:

"We're really excited about the Deluxe version of GOLDEN coming out in November and all the events and performances we'll be doing around its release, but we're most excited about getting to play this new music live for you! To accommodate the new release and in order to give you guys the best show possible, we've had to move things around on our tour schedule. The 1st leg of the TAKE ME DOWNTOWN TOUR with Kip [Moore] and Kacey [Musgraves] will now kick off on Jan. 10th in Peoria, IL. We hope these changes aren't too much trouble for you, and that we'll get to see you in one of the more than 60 cities the tour will hit next year."

The full 2014 tour schedule is available on their website. The band released their latest single, which is not found on the regular version of Golden, ahead of the new release. Hillary Scott recently told Country Weekly the reasons for the early release:

“I immediately fell in love with the spirit of the song. As we made it our own, we decided we had to share it with the fans immediately...We just couldn’t wait!”

The deluxe edition of Golden includes six extra tracks, with iTunes live recordings of two of the bands greatest hits, "I Run To You" and "Need You Now." The updated record comes out on November 12, 2013.
