Tori Spelling, who may be going bankrupt, recently revealed exactly how in debt she really is. When speaking to a major tabloid, she informed the world that her husband was too poor for a vasectomy. It would appear that her dad, Aaron Spelling, is to blame, as well as Tori’s admitted overspending.
Spelling is an open book. Actually...she is promoting a new book, but the end result is all the same. She’s broken one of Hollywood’s biggest taboos--admitting that her family is broke.
Not only did she reveal that her family is suffering, she also theorized as to how she wound up in this place:
“It's no mystery why I have money problems. I grew up rich beyond anyone's dreams. I never knew anything else. Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle I can't seem to let go of my expensive tastes. And then there's my shopping problem. I've bought ridiculous amounts of stuff for the kids, clothing, toys, crafts.”
It would make sense that Tori blames her father, in part, for her economic woes. Many people are aware that her father was worth over $600 million when he died. But Tori and her brother received a measly $800,000, each.
Tori’s mom, Candy, fared much better. The longtime wife of Aaron Spelling received an estate that totaled over $500 million. But according to Star, she doesn’t feel like sharing. An alleged source recently commented on Tori’s standing:
“Tori and Dean are going broke. They can’t keep up with the cost of living their famous Hollywood life, and its taking a huge emotional toll on them.”
Despite having their own upcoming reality show, Tori & Dean: Cabin Fever, the couple still strains to keep up their lifestyle. According to the same insider, there wasn’t much of a payday involved:
“The sad thing is, they barely got any money for doing that show. But they have to take any opportunity that comes their way, because they are so desperate for money.”
The alleged insider dropped another bombshell when they revealed that Tori harbors resentment towards her father and mother. The source claims:
“It is hard for Tori to believe that her extremely generous father would leave her with so little in his will...Tori didn’t get a fair share of her father’s wealth. She struggled a lot financially but did manage to make ends meet from doing reality shows with Dean.”
