New ‘L&O: SVU’ 2016 Return Episode & Canceled Original ‘Law & Order’ Reboot

Tonight Law & Order: SVU is back with the first new episode of 2016. Speaking of new. It looks like we might be getting new episodes of the original Law & Order. Recently, the show’s boss Dick Wolf mentioned rebooting the show that was sadly canceled to the dismay of many fans.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of return episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, titled “Catfishing Teacher,” reads:

“A rendezvous with a teacher is planned by a high-school student, but the situation turns much more dangerous for the teen.”

Recently it was reported that creator and executive producer Dick Wolf spoke to reporters at the 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour about a potential reboot of the classic L&O (via Variety):

“We’ve been talking about it on and off for the past year or so, trying to figure out how to do it right. We would only do a close-ended [season]. I don’t think we’d start the show up again. Nothing’s ruled out, but I think initially we’re thinking, let’s just do another set of episodes and see what we have and take it from there.”
