'22' Singer Taylor Swift Releases New Song 'Sweeter Than Fiction' from 'Britain's Got Talent' Winner Paul Potts' 'One Chance'

Taylor Swift has released a brand new song from the soundtrack to the upcoming British biopic comedy, One Chance. The "22" singer wrote her new track "Sweeter than Fiction" after being moved by the real life Cinderella story of Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts.

Paul Potts was a true underdog. His inspirational tale of a cell phone salesman-turned-Opera legend is now a major motion picture. The film, One Chance, named after his debut album, will feature a new track by country pop diva Taylor Swift.

The film's producer Simon Cowell first suggested that Swift screen the movie. The film's "against all odds" theme really moved Swift. Perez Hilton is quoting the singer as saying:

"Getting to see the struggles and triumphs of someone who never stopped chasing what he was after really inspired me. It's a beautiful movie and I just wanted to share it with as many people as I could."

Swift recently told BBC Newsbeat that she had to fight with her label in order to release the new track, saying:

"I had to fight to do this because I try to take a break in between albums and try and give people a minute to not hear me on the radio. I had to go around and ask people, 'Can I please, please put something out?' even though we're supposed to be going quiet. My management, my label were like, 'No new music until the next album comes out' Then I saw the movie and I was like, 'I have to be a part of this.'"

One Chance stars James Corden in the role of Paul Potts. The film opens on December 27. Check out the new song, "Sweeter than Fiction," and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
