NY6 Bowl Game Recap:
One of the biggest days of the year for college football fans was New Year's Day, a day ago. It featured some big-time matchups such as Ohio State and Notre Dame, Stanford and Iowa, Michigan and Florida, etc. However, the day was ultimately a disappointment.
That is, unless you're a huge Ohio State, Stanford, Michigan, Tennessee or Ole Miss fan. All five of those games were essentially blowouts. The closest finish was Notre Dame losing by 16 to the Buckeyes. They're lucky Joey Bosa committed a stupid penalty in the first half on a play that would have ended in an interception. That game could have been even uglier.
I'm not a die-hard fan of any of those teams, and I was just hoping to catch a couple of close ones down the stretch. Alas, that did not happen. Hopefully Oregon-TCU can give us a little bit better taste in our mouths before the national championship -- which, by the way, is Monday, January 11. Mark your calendar.
