'Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier' New Poster Released, Teaser Trailer in Two Days [SPOILER]

Marvel has tweeted the official new poster for Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier. The Announcement that came on Tuesday also began a countdown for the official teaser trailer:

"The official #CaptainAmerica: The #WinterSoldier poster is here! Teaser trailer in 2 days, only on @iTunesTrailers."'

The picture shows Captain America, played by Chris Evans, seemingly getting ready to jump out of a S.H.I.E.L.D aircraft, overlooking the Helicarrier. The is officially the second poster from the film, however, it is the first one to feature any of the actors. The first poster was of a banged up Captain America shield.

The poster is heavy on the S.H.I.E.L.D. imagery, which brings us to the spoilers section of our story.

Warning Spoilers Follow!

Robert Redford is playing S.H.I.E.L.D. head Alexander Pierce in the new film, however, Redford did manage to spill the beans on a potentially major spoiler while talking to The Straits Times:

“I think a career requires a certain amount of reinvention. If you get caught in one track I think that can be dangerous. Success has a dark side to it. you want to be careful if you’ve had success at something, that you not try and follow it by just duplicating it. That’s why I’m doing this Captain America thing. I like the idea of playing a villain…I did that just because it’s a different thing for me to do.”

Avengers fans are well aware that in the film it was the S.H.I.E.L.D. leadership that ordered the atomic bomb to be dropped on New York. In the comic books, it has also been revealed that S.H.I.E.L.D. was actually under HYDRA control for a long time. HYDRA of course being the evil Nazi organization from the first Captain America movie. Could Captain America be unknowingly working for the Nazis?

Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes out on April 4, 2014.
