In the decade or so since they have gotten together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have had three biological children and adopted three more. While the Hollywood heartthrob has not made any children's movie since becoming a father, Pitt recently explained that the experience informs almost every decision he makes.
He may not have a five-year plan, but when he thinks about the future the first thing that comes to Brad Pitts mind in his 6 kids.
In the latest January 11 issue of OK! Magazine, Pitt explains that what he loves best about being a father is that each day is different than the one before it:
"It's a constant evolution. That's one of the great benefits of getting older -- you learn so much about being a father and helping your kids grow up and discover the world.
"I've never been someone who has five- or ten-year plans about what I want to achieve or where I want to be down the road.
"I have a clear idea about how I want to live and how I want to be the best possible husband and father. Everything starts from that, and I've always trusted my instincts."
Despite all the time he spends with the children, Brad told Us Weekly that he is still surprised every day by something one of them says of does:
"I can't describe a father's pride. I feel so much of it... there's a lot of emotions.
"Maddox and all my kids are so warm and they take on more than anyone could understand, more than I could ever understand...They absorb so much, and I love watching all my children grow and learn.
"And of course my wife is amazing, and I love watching her teach and grow with our kids as well, I really mean that."
Pitt sounds so contented with his role as a father that it might be safe to assume that he and Angie may still adopt another child or two before all is said and done.
