Amanda Bynes 2013 Mental Illness Update: Health Improving, Allowed to Leave Psych Ward [RUMORS]

There has been another update for the mental illness that is plaguing Amanda Bynes in 2013. Despite reports that she was not doing well at the new psychiatric ward, we’re told that her health is steadily improving. In fact, new reports indicate that she is allowed to temporarily leave her treatment center.

In the face of numerous reports to the contrary, FOX411 is reporting that Amanda Bynes is recovering. According to a source, Bynes is now allowed to leave the psychiatric center where she is receiving round the clock care:

“Amanda is being given two passes a week to go the beach, or out to eat and do things like that, accompanied by a professional handler. She is making great progress.”

Of course, these latest allegations follow a string of negative press that claimed that the actress was doing poorly at the center. As recent as last week, OK! reported that Bynes was struggling, quoting a source who revealed:

“She has had some breakdowns, can’t function, can’t watch TV. It’s so sad.”

As usual, the source didn’t offer any evidence to support their claims. It’s this kind of unsubstantiated rumors that Amanda’s mom, Lynn Bynes, spoke about. In an interview with People, the 66-year-old mother addressed all of the gossip about her daughter, telling the publication:

"I would really like everyone out there to know that almost 99 percent of the things written about my daughter in various media outlets are false or misleading. Unless it's a statement issued by our family attorney, Tamar Arminak, please take everything you read about Amanda with a grain of salt."

What do you think about the latest revelations? Is Amanda’s health improving or getting worse? Tell us your thoughts in the comment field below.
