Wendy Williams Talks Dita Von Teese Sweatpants?

Much was recently made of Dito Von Teese's comments that at the age of 43 she still did not own even a single pair of sweatpants, but it would seem that Wendy Williams, for one, is completely unimpressed with burlesque supermodel's wardrobes choices. According to BET's late night TV talk show host a woman has no business owning sweatpants until she is a mother, and since Dita's marriage to Marilyn Manson never resulted in her having any kids, Wendy doesn't see any reason that Vito would own anything other than sexy nightgowns.

During a recent interview with People burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese admitted that she has never owned anything as pedestrian as a pair of sweatpants:

"I've loved finding ways to be comfortable around the house, but glamorous at the same time.

"I always collected vintage robes and pajamas. In my early teens, I discovered I could buy vintage 1950s slips for next to nothing, and that was my look.

"I decided I was going to look like Elizabeth Taylor in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and I thought, 'How glamorous but comfortable: I don't have to put on sweatpants!'"

For her part, Wendy Williams doesn't understand what a middle aged woman with no children would need with a pair of sweatpants in the first place.

In her latest contribution to the January 4, issue of Life & Style magazine, Wendy Williams explained that until you have kids, you don't really need to own any sweatpants:

"I am not surprised that Dita Von Teese admitted that she doesn't own sweatpants...After all, she doesn't have kids.

"Sweatpants should only be worn if you are picking up your kids from school, or if there's a fire and you need to escape the house!"
