The cast of the Real Housewives of New Jersey will see a few shake ups for the 2013 season. After Caroline Manzo announced that she was quitting the hit bravo show, rumors began flying that Nicole and Teresa Napolitano would be joining the remaining housewives. Manzo made the announcement on a Bravo blog, where she also promoted her very own show.
Multiple sources have reported that three new housewives will be joining this year’s Jersey cast. There will be two twins, Nicole and Teresa Napolitano, and their friend, Amber Marchese.
Our friends over at The Wrap were among the first to break the news. The gossip site tells its viewers:
“Very little is known at this time about the three new cast members. According to reports, Nicole owns a Dairy Queen and Teresa is a socialite and philanthropist. Meanwhile, Marchese, a married mother of four, is a close friend to the twins. Plus, there doesn’t seem to be any connection between the new women and the existing cast members.”
One person who definitely won’t be making an appearance is Caroline Manzo. The former housewife announced that she was quitting on Bravo’s blog, taking a swipe at her old show:
"When we started filming Housewives so long ago, [my husband] Al made me promise him one thing. He said, ‘Just be yourself and have fun with it.' I've always prided myself on giving you the truth of who I really am, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Over the past few years my outlook on the show has changed from something I couldn't wait to show my future grandchildren to something I hope my future grandchildren never see. I've always prided myself on being a good example for my children and my decision to leave is based on advice I've always given them: ‘Be true to yourself and be proud of who you are, you are born with a name and you die with a name, don't dirty it up.'"
Manzo did have time, however, to plug her upcoming series:
"We are having an absolute blast filming it, and I hope you all join us as we start our new chapter within the Bravo network. We didn't close the book, we just turned the page."
