Ohio:

The Bobcats have a team that is overlooked, but they've played well this season, winning eight games.

Offensively, they have a handful of talented players to look at to move the ball and make plays. Their backfield consists of two talented running backs, A.J. Ouellette and Daz'mond Patterson, who've combined for over 1,100 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground. Out wide, Sebastian Smith and Jordan Reid -- a pair of 6-foot-3 wide receivers -- lead the team in receptions, yards and touchdowns. The two have put up 1,370 receiving yards on 107 catches for 12 touchdowns.

Outside of those four, there's not much they can rely on, and the quarterback play has been average.

Defensively, they have a big-time playmaker. The undersized for an outside linebacker Quentin Poling (6-foot, 219 pounds) has four sacks and 8.5 tackles for a loss as well as three interceptions this season. He's also second on the team with 58 total tackles.

Appalachian State:

The Mountaineers have been a force in the Sun Belt this season. They've only lost two games all year: once to Clemson, 41-10, and once to Arkansas State, 40-27. Other than that, they've blown out every team they've played by 18 or more in every contest with the exception of two.

Quarterback Taylor Lamb, sophomore, has been a fantastic dual-threat player this season. His 29 touchdowns to only eight interceptions ratio is exceptional, and his ability to run the ball (459 yards, four TDs, 5.1 YPC) only makes that success through the air even sweeter.

Appalachian State is no doubt a run-first team, however. They've ran the ball 556 times this year while only have 271 pass attempts.

On the ground, three guys have over 450 yards. Marcus Cox is their lead man, though, and he gained 1,306 yards to go with eight scores on the ground. They'll rely on the run game to set up the pass in this one just as they have all season long with great success.

Prediction:

The Bobcats seem to be overmatched in this one. Appalachian State can attack in so many ways, and the Bobcats just don't have enough defensive studs to slow them down.

Finals Score: Appalachian State 37, Ohio 20
