After being arrested for stealing more than $800 worth of books last week, writer and producer of upcoming musical 'Ready 2 Die' are now facing another legal backlash as the Estate of the late rapper "Notorious B.I.G." is stressing that they have not authorized this rumored musical about the life of the deceased rapper.
Legal reps of Notorious B.I.G. said they have nothing to do with the musical's playwriter Alfred "Paper Love" Green and producer Raheim Pope. Furthermore, the estate has sent notice to them to cease work on the production in March after they held an unofficial casting call for the show.
"Please note that this is an unauthorized play. Our firm has previously sent a cease and desist notice and any association with the Estate of Christopher Wallace or Notorious B.I.G. are unauthorized," stated a rep from the estate.
"There is no connection or association between the Estate of Notorious B.I.G. and Alfred Green and Raheim Pope," they added.
Green and Pope indicated that they were working on the musical, entitled Ready 2 Die, when they were spotted shoplifting $868 worth of books from a Barnes & Noble in Connecticut last Friday.
The musical has yet to open, despite its original plan for opening in March 2012.
