'Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier' Release Date Moves Forward

The good new is Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier has a new early release date. The bad news is it's not in America. IMDB is now reporting that the Poland release date will be one week before the US, with most other countries getting a one or two day head start.

Captain America is no doubt an American icon. The Red, White and Blue clad super soldier is arguably more American than the Statue of Liberty. So it might rub some Americans the wrong way to learn that the second film will be released across the globe before it comes to the good ole U.S. of A.

Marvel is allegedly continuing its unusual release pattern with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, as they all saw earlier overseas release dates. Although, this time around, it appears that the film will maintain the word America in it's title, as some overseas releases of the first movie were simply called The First Avenger.

The films synopsis, according to IGN, reads:

"After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier."

Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes out in the U.S.A on April 4.
